There are still many unanswered questions surrounding the AI Act. After long months of waiting, the two MEPs Axel Voss (CDU) and Svenja Hahn (FDP) have now received an answer to a written question to the Commission. At the time (Nov. 18, 2024), they asked about the definition of the term „AI system“ in the AI Act, its distinction from simple statistical procedures and its alignment with international standards.
