Commission President Ursula von der Leyen receives the CEOs of manufacturers and suppliers on Monday morning.

The Commission has sent a paper to the participants of the Strategic Dialogue on Cars in preparation for the final round on Monday. Demands from manufacturers and suppliers, for example to avert the penalties and end the phase-out of combustion engines, are not addressed. The industry is disillusioned.

The initial content of the Automotive Action Plan is contained in a four-page paper that the Commission sent to the participants of the Strategic Dialogue on Thursday evening. It will serve as a basis for discussions at the final meeting chaired by Ursula von der Leyen on Monday, to which the CEOs of car manufacturers, major suppliers and representatives of trade unions and NGOs have been invited. Transport Commissioner Apostolos Tzitzikostas is to present the action plan on Wednesday. The paper is available to Table.Briefings.
