The Asian Film Awards, one of the most influential prizes in the Asian film industry, were held in Hong Kong on Sunday. The Indian co-production „All We Imagine as Light“ was awarded Best Film. The Hong Kong blockbuster „Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In“ won in two categories: Best Editing and Best Production Design. The Chinese entry „Black Dog“ did not win any awards. A special honor was given to Tang Wan. The Chinese actress, known for the thriller „Decision to Leave“ by Park Chan-wook, was honored with the Excellence in Asian Cinema Award for her outstanding performances and significant contribution to Asian cinema. Japanese actor Yakusho Koji („Perfect Days“) received a lifetime achievement award. Director Mohammad Rasoulof, who fled to Germany from Iran, won the prize for best screenplay for „The Seed of the Sacred Fig.“
