In April, the share of coal in Poland’s electricity production fell below 50 percent for the first time at 49.4%. According to a report by the Polish think tank Forum Energii, this is partly due to the strong growth in renewables and a decline in demand for energy in the country. In addition, gas-fired power generation increased significantly last year.
