Andreas Schleicher is Director for the Directorate of Education and Skills at OECD. He is a statistician and education researcher and has been criticizing the German education system for years. He designed the PISA studies and presented the first PISA study in 2001, which attracted a great deal of attention in Germany. He has been responsible for the PISA program since 2002 and is involved in numerous other educational projects.
