A new trunk road between the logistics hub of Chongqing in western China and the port of Qinzhou in southern Guangxi has a very special feature: The 1,150-kilometer route will be used exclusively for freight transport with hydrogen trucks. This route is not open to conventional or electric trucks. The route was opened in mid-April. Soon, hydrogen vehicles will make around 220,000 trips a year on this road, covering a total distance of around 250 million kilometers.
