The CDU/CSU and SPD negotiators have formulated their joint and opposing ideas on energy and climate. They are still far apart on many critical points. However, important decisions on climate are also being made in the working group on foreign and development policy.

The working groups have presented their proposals. In the end, it is up to the party leaders to decide.

The working group on energy and climate (WG 16) has now delivered its final report on the coalition negotiations between the CDU/CSU and SPD to form a new German government. On the 11 pages available to Table.Briefings, the negotiators from the group have summarized their joint results – and also recorded their remaining differences in square brackets.
