Heat pumps in front of a house: How well people can adapt to the climate crisis depends, among other things, on whether they live in the countryside or in the city.

The social conditions for the necessary adaptation vary significantly in Germany. This is the conclusion drawn by the Climate Neutrality Foundation – and they explain what policies need to be implemented.

The Climate Neutrality Foundation is working towards assessing the social conditions in Germany concerning the climate transition and the consequences for selecting suitable policy instruments. Initial results were presented last week. They are based on 14 data categories (including age, income, property ownership) and 20 formed clusters.
