The German government criticizes the Commission’s work program for 2024.

The German government has reservations about EU anti-dumping tariffs on Chinese EVs. „Countervailing duties by the EU could protect the EU industry, but could also have a negative impact“, according to the German government’s statement on the EU Commission’s 2024 work program, which is classified as confidential and available to Table.Media. EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen had announced an anti-subsidy investigation into battery electric vehicles from China.
