A „pragmatic approach to low-carbon hydrogen“ – that was one of the points that Friedrich Merz and Emmanuel Macron called for in a joint newspaper article at the start of Merz’s chancellorship. It is based primarily on the two energy sources that are currently very popular in Paris and Berlin: Nuclear energy and natural gas with carbon capture.
