Cybersecurity strategy: EU does not play a major role

On Wednesday, the German cabinet approved the federal government’s new cybersecurity strategy. Anyone who had expected it to include significantly closer cooperation in the EU or even a commitment to strengthening the European Network Security Agency ENISA was disappointed: the German strategy mainly describes plans to strengthen national structures – the European level is mostly left out.
