Formally, member states will not apply the Digital Services Act until February 2024. But after enforcement became important earlier for the largest platforms in the wake of the Israel-Hamas crisis, the Commission is now relying on voluntary cooperation with regulators in individual member states.

The EU Commission has concluded administrative agreements with France’s telecommunications regulator ARCEP and the Irish digital regulator. These are intended to help with the application of the Digital Services Act.
