Due to its limited mandate, the European Labor Authority (ELA ) has not yet succeeded in „fully exploiting its potential“: This is the conclusion reached by the EU Commission in its evaluation of the authority. The report published on Monday was originally scheduled for summer 2024. According to the report, information on rights and obligations regarding labor mobility is „still fragmented,“ which is mainly due to the diversity of national systems. „In a complex environment with a balance of national and EU competencies, it is difficult to find solutions,“ the report states. It will therefore take time to „achieve the greatest possible EU added value.“
