It was considered a prime example of a successfully working committee: the Federal Government’s Data Ethics Commission, whose 16 members had developed comprehensive proposals for an appropriate political treatment of current issues surrounding data and artificial intelligence by the autumn of 2019. Now, the Federation of German Consumer Organisations has examined the actual implementation of these recommendations after two years – with a mixed picture.
