But Chen Rui, alias Ryan, from Chongqing unites the two worlds seemingly effortlessly. As „Chinese Trump,“ he first became an internet celebrity in China, and now increasingly internationally. On TikTok, RedNote and Instagram, he fervently promotes international understanding – and his home city. „Folks, you’re in Chongqing, China,“ he says in a video in the characteristic style of the US president. „Look at the size of the traffic. So many people, so many cars, bumper to bumper, barely moving. Some say it’s bad. You know what I say, I say it’s incredible.“
