Economics Minister Katherina Reiche has announced a thorough review of the industrial electricity price. Before holding talks with the Commission on state aid law, the German government wants to „first look at who still needs and can be relieved and what is eligible for state aid,“ said Reiche at the BDEW Congress in Berlin. Before the summer break, the cabinet wants to decide on relief from the electricity tax, grid charges and the gas storage levy.
