EU Commission starts DSA proceedings against TikTok

TikTok may be in breach of EU law.
The TikTok platform, which is particularly popular with young people, is facing proceedings by the EU Commission under the Digital Services Act. Among other things, this concerns algorithms that can promote addictive behavior.

Bytedance must now provide even more extensive information on Tiktok’s potential violations of the law – and may be required by the Commission to rectify any shortcomings.
